of the Mississippi and Illinois Rivers, Grafton is traditionally a fishing village, yet today it provides much for the visitor to see and do.  The following is only a small example of what you should be prepared to do on your trip:

  • Bicycling (the 20 mile Valdabene bike trail goes through Grafton along the Mississippi and Illinois Rivers - bikes are available for rent in town, or you may bring your own, of course)
  • Shopping (there are several quaint stores in town.  Visit Grafton's official web page for the long list)
  • Wineries (there are 3 in town!)
  • Restaurants (lots of choices - come and enjoy Grafton's favorite: catfish or plenty of other dishes.  There are even three different ice cream parlors in town!)
  • Nature (Grafton is home to wintering bald eagles and much waterfowl.  Nearby Pere Marquette State Park offers hiking and horseback riding trails.)
  • Horseback Riding (see above)
  • Water Fun (Raging River Water Park, boat rentals, fishing)
  • Apple or Pumpkin Picking (seasonal, of course)

We can only begin to express all there is to do in Grafton here.  We encourage you to visit Grafton's official web page for more information and seasonal events.
